This Privacy Policy explains how digiflippers.com (“we”) collects and uses personal data when you use digiflippers.com. We are the controller of that data. We collect only what we need to run a safe marketplace, we never sell your personal data, and you can contact us about your data at any time at support@digiflippers.com.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), profile details and preferences, and whether you confirmed your email.
- Verification: your phone number if you verify it (stored encrypted), the result of an identity check done by Stripe Identity (we receive the result, not your ID documents), and proof of ownership or numbers for listings, including read-only data from services you choose to connect (for example Google Analytics, Search Console, AdSense, YouTube or Stripe).
- Listings and deals: what you list, offers, bids, Deal Room terms, messages, files, the payment and transfer steps you record, reviews and disputes.
- Payments to us: what you bought and its status. Card details are entered on Stripe’s secure pages and never reach our servers.
- Support: your requests, our answers, attachments, your rating of our help, and conversations with our Digi AI assistant.
- Partner program: your application, partner link, the members and payments linked to it and your payout details.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device, pages visited, the page that sent you to us, and security logs (for example failed log-ins). We store shortened or keyed versions of IP addresses where we can.
2. Why we use it
- To provide the marketplace and our contract with you: accounts, listings, offers, deals, payments, support and the partner program.
- To keep the marketplace safe (our legitimate interest and a legal duty): checking listings and members, detecting fraud, scams, fake accounts and abuse, warning about risky messages, and resolving disputes.
- To improve the marketplace (our legitimate interest): statistics about how pages and listings are used, and which help articles answer questions.
- To send you messages: emails about your account, listings, offers and deals, and — only if you agree — newsletters and alerts, which you can turn off at any time.
- To meet legal obligations: accounting, tax, and answering lawful requests from authorities.
3. Who sees your data
Other members see your public profile, listings, reviews and trust badges. The other side of a deal sees what you share in that Deal Room. Our team (administrators, moderators, support agents and middlemen) sees what they need to do their job. We use these service providers, who process data for us under contract:
- Stripe — card payments, subscriptions and identity checks.
- Escrow.com, a licensed escrow company — when a deal uses escrow; the escrow company becomes responsible for the money under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Twilio — sending phone verification codes.
- Anthropic — the AI model behind our AI features (see our AI Features Notice).
- Google — only if you connect an analytics, Search Console, AdSense or YouTube account to verify a listing’s numbers (read-only access you can disconnect at any time).
- Email delivery and hosting providers — to host the marketplace and send and receive emails.
We may also share data when the law requires it, to protect members or the public from fraud or harm, or with a buyer of our business (who must keep this policy). We never sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
Some providers are in other countries, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses so your data stays protected.
5. How long we keep it
- Your account: while it is open. When you close it we delete or anonymise your profile, except what we must keep.
- Deal records, payments and invoices: as long as the law requires for accounting, tax and legal claims (often several years).
- Digi AI conversations: 90 days. The AI usage log: 400 days. Listing statistics: 730 days.
- Support requests: while needed to help you and improve our answers, and then deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, restrict or object to how we use it, and withdraw consent you gave. Write to support@digiflippers.com; we answer within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity. You may also complain to your data protection authority. You can change most details and email preferences yourself in your account.
7. Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections, hashed passwords, encryption of sensitive details such as phone numbers and connection keys, private storage for deal and support files, limits on log-in attempts and access only for staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
8. Children
digiflippers.com is for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from younger people; if you think we have, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Cookies
How we use cookies and similar storage is explained in our Cookie Policy.
10. Changes
We update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the current version; for important changes we tell you in advance.
