Questions
Buying websites: common questions
Still have a question?
How are websites valued?
Usually as a multiple of average monthly profit over the last 6–12 months, adjusted for traffic quality, trend and risk. Check real multiples in the sold archive.
What is included when a website is sold?
Whatever you list: typically the domain, content, design, email list, social accounts and supplier relationships. It is written into the Deal Room terms both sides confirm.
Do buyers pay a fee?
No. Only escrow (the escrow company’s fee) or the middleman service cost money — and only if you choose them.
How do I check a site's traffic is real?
Ask for read-only Google Analytics or Search Console access and compare it with the listing. Sudden spikes from unknown sources are a warning sign.
What if Google traffic drops after I buy?
That is a real risk for search-driven sites. Check the penalty history and several years of traffic, and prefer sites with more than one traffic source.
What if the asset is not as described?
Do not confirm the deal. You have 2 days to check everything; if something is wrong, open a dispute from the Deal Room and our team steps in.
Can I get alerts for new listings?
Yes. Save a search or post a “Wanted” request and we email you the moment a matching listing goes live.
How do I know a listing is real?
Look for the “Verified owner” badge (the seller proved ownership) and “Verified” numbers (checked from a connected source). Every listing is reviewed by our team before it goes live.
