Deals and payment
Messages and files in the Deal Room
Chat privately, share files safely and understand the scam shield warnings.
On this page
Each Deal Room has a private chat for the buyer, the seller and — if needed — our team.
Messages
- Write in the chat at the bottom of the Deal Room. Messages can be up to 2,000 characters.
- We email you about new messages, bundled so you get at most one email every {setting:deal_chat_email_minutes} minutes.
- Messages cannot be deleted. That is on purpose: they are the record if something goes wrong.
Files
Share screenshots, documents, exports or login instructions as files — up to 10 MB each. Files are stored privately: only the buyer, the seller and our team can open them.
Scam shield
The chat checks messages for common scam patterns:
- asking to pay outside the agreed method or to different details;
- links to fake payment or login pages;
- pressure to move the conversation elsewhere.
Suspicious messages are marked with a warning, and some are blocked. If you see a warning, stop and read it before doing anything.
Keep it here
Once both sides have accepted the terms, you may see each other’s contact details if the marketplace allows it. Still, keep the important agreements in the Deal Room chat: our team can only rely on what is recorded here.
Important: Never send passwords in the chat unless it is part of the transfer checklist step for that asset — and change them right after the transfer.
Thanks for your feedback!
