Confidential listings and locked details

Why some listings show “Price on request” or locked details, and how to get access as a serious buyer.

  3. Why it is worth it

Some sellers do not want their business to be recognised by competitors, staff or customers. They can list it confidentially.

What confidential means

  • Price on request: the listing shows no price and never appears in price filters.
  • Locked details: some fields show a lock and the note “Shown to the buyer once a price is agreed”. Documents can be marked “Only the buyer in a deal” too.
  • The name, address or brand of the asset may be hidden until later in the process.

How to get access

Introduce yourself with Ask the seller or in your offer message: who you are, your budget, your experience and why the asset interests you. Locked details and private documents open for you automatically when a price is agreed and the Deal Room starts. Treat them as confidential — you may not share or use them outside the deal.

Why it is worth it

Confidential listings are often established businesses with real revenue. The extra step filters out tyre-kickers and protects the business you might buy.

Good to know: Everything else works as usual: the Deal Room, the payment options and the inspection period apply to confidential sales too.
