What buyers look at

The numbers your game is judged on

Show these clearly — and verified — and serious buyers make offers faster.

  • Monthly revenue after launch

    Good: Long tail

Most games spike at launch; steady months are what buyers value.

  • Positive reviews

    Good: 80%+

Reviews drive store visibility and sales.

  • Wishlists / followers

    Good: Growing

Future sales at every discount and update.

  • Engine & code

    Good: Common engine, clean

Unity, Unreal or Godot projects are easier to continue.

Benchmarks are rules of thumb from public sales. Your niche and numbers decide the real price.

Price drivers

What makes a game worth more

The same things that make buyers pay more also make your listing sell faster.

Typical price (rule of thumb)

Often 2–4× yearly profit

Games with a long tail of sales, good reviews and a clean code base sell best.

Raises the price

  • Steady sales long after launch
  • Sequels, DLC or ports planned
  • All assets and music licensed for transfer
  • Active community

Lowers the price

  • Sales only at launch
  • Assets with licences that do not transfer
  • Mixed reviews about bugs
  • Publisher contracts that block a sale

Questions

Selling games: common questions

Still have a question?

Can I sell a game I made with an engine like Unity?

Yes. Name the engine and version, and include the project files and asset licences.

Is the intellectual property included?

You choose — tick "includes IP" in the form so buyers know whether they get the rights to the game world and characters.

What does it cost?

A small listing fee for your asset and price, shown before you pay. There is no success fee: the marketplace never takes a percentage of the sale price. See pricing.

Do I need an account to start?

No. Start your listing right away; we ask you to create a free account only when you save it.

How fast do I need to deliver items?

Say it in the listing ("Delivery time"). The Deal Room deadline starts when the buyer pays.

Are game accounts allowed to be sold?

Some games forbid it in their terms. Sell only where it is allowed and describe the account honestly, including linked accounts.

How do I prove that I own it?

You get a one-time code to place on the asset — a DNS record, a file on the site, your profile bio or store description. We check it automatically. Where that is not possible, send screenshots and our team checks them.

How quickly will it sell?

It depends on the price and the proof. Verified listings with clear numbers and a fair price get offers fastest; you can feature your listing to reach more buyers.

Ready to sell your game?

It takes a few minutes. The sale price stays yours.
