Handling offers as a seller

Accept, decline or counter offers, set a minimum and an auto-accept price, and know what happens when you accept.

  3. Before you accept
  4. When you accept

Offers arrive by email and in Dashboard → Offers. Each offer shows the price, the buyer’s message and how long it stays open.

Your three choices

  • Accept — the price is agreed and the Deal Room opens for both of you.
  • Decline — the buyer is told, and can make a new offer.
  • Counter — send your own price with a message. The buyer can accept, decline or counter again, up to 6 rounds in total.

An offer stays open for 72 hours. If you do not answer, it expires.

Rules that work for you

In the price step of your listing you can set:

  • Minimum offer — offers below it are declined automatically, so you do not have to.
  • Auto-accept price — offers at or above it are accepted straight away.

The marketplace also sets a lowest offer for everyone: 30% of your asking price.

Before you accept

  • Look at the buyer’s profile: trust level, reviews and completed purchases.
  • Answer their questions in your reply — it saves time in the Deal Room.
  • Accepting is binding. Only accept a price you are ready to sell at.

When you accept

Other open offers on the listing are declined automatically and the listing is reserved. You and the buyer accept the terms in the Deal Room within 2 day(s).

Tip: Answer quickly. Sellers who reply fast earn the Fast Responder badge — and buyers do not go looking elsewhere.
